Subservience (2024)

In a future where subservient robots and humans live side by side, some people's lives have been made easier, and others more difficult (losing their jobs to the machines.)

Subservience  is similar to M3GAN (2022) but with a fully grown (Megan Fox) robot, instead of a doll. Michele Morrone is credible as Nick, a construction foreman who's wife, Maggie (Madeline Zima) is in the hospital waiting on a heart transplant. He needs help dealing with his two young children, including daughter, Isla (Matilda Firth) so he buys a lifelike robot in Alice (a very good, emotionless Fox.)

The problem is Alice wants to replace Maggie and be part of the family, while also going to any means to protect Nick.

Somewhat entertaining, despite familiar themes, it's at its best when it remains grounded in the earlier acts before going full on Terminator (1984) near the end and overplaying its hand.

Watchable B movie stuff.
