Becoming Bond (2017)

George Lazenby's life is no doubt fascinating, from blagging his way into the role of a lifetime, to giving it up, due to misplaced advice but we have to question how much of it is true, or embellished. While clever and no doubt gutsy, becoming Bond involved a lot of luck, because there's no way you could pretend to be a high profile actor now! Even back then, George is quickly found out and he's just lucky he had someone fighting his corner.

George tells some tall tales, like the time his mate spiked his and his lady friend's drink. Or the time he stole a tuxedo meant for Sean Connery. Or his claim to have slept with three to four woman a day, before he was famous. Yes, it was the 60's, but come on! Didn't he have better things to do? Didn't they? Didn't one of them want to stick around?

Jane Seymour some how contacts him at a random French woman's house (that he's only just met) to tell him to audition for Bond. He someone finds out Belinda's address (a former girlfriend) and workplace, despite having no means of doing so. It all just seems, well, a little far fetched.

The interviewer stops the interview at one point and asks George how much of this is true. It's entertaining but how much of it is fact is debatable.
